The Brewer’s Art Ozzy Ale

The Brewer’s Art Ozzy Ale is a Belgian Strong Pale Ale. So this is their “devil” beer (Duvel, Lucifer etc.) and before I go any further I have to say the label is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Classic Ozzy Osbourne “style” font, and according to the bottle: a portion of the proceeds will benefit bat preservation programs. Funny. The aroma is bready with a bit of sweetness. The flavor is the same with a some yeast flavor and just a bit of spice. If Duvel is the benchmark for this style, this beer doesn’t quite get hit the mark, but this is a very nice and easy drinking Belgian Strong Pale Ale.
