Mikkeller Black Hole
Mikkeller Black Hole is a Russian Imperial Stout brewed with flaked oats, dark cassanade, honey, coffee and vanilla. This is an odd tasting stout, not bad but odd. It is very sweet, I am really getting the honey and vanilla. The coffee is very mild in the background before a quick burst of roasted malts makes an appearance. That honey and vanilla thing is there throughout the taste and is a bit overbearing. The finish is strange, but again not bad, a sweet licorice/coffee/sour candy type thing. Certainly worth a try, and I have been told the variations of this are quite good but I haven’t come across any of those yet.
