Stone Enjoy By IPA
Stone Enjoy By IPA is an American Double/Imperial IPA. This is the 6th batch 04.01.13. Amazing concept with this one, and the beer lives up to the hype. In an effort to ensure freshness for it’s consumers Stone has created an IPA that clearly states when they want you to enjoy it by. It is has the date big and bold right on the front of the bottle, not hidden away or hard to find. A huge tip of the hat from those of us demanding bottle dating. To allow this to happen the beer is brewed in much smaller batches and is sent to different select markets each time.
The beer itself reminds me a lot of Ruination but with about every type of hop flavor know to man: floral, tropical fruits (mostly mango), resinous pine, mint and a little onion. I was also able to have this on draft and I felt like the onion flavors were a bit stronger from the tap, but still enjoyable for me. I wouldn’t mind trying this side by side with some super fresh Ruination sometime, but the logistics of that might be difficult. If you are a west coast IPA fan get your hands on a bottle of this!
