Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Lager 1988-2013

Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Lager is a Dopplebock brewed to celebrate 25 years of brewing some outstanding craft beer. The base for this beer is their flagship Brooklyn Lager, which is pretty obvious in the taste. It is similar appearance as well. Before I write this off as just an overpriced version of Brooklyn Lager things take a spicy/hoppy turn which is unexpected for the style. Nice earthy and floral hops are throwing my taste buds for a loop, but in a good way. Flavorful and potent (9% ABV), this was a great choice after a rough night at the bar.
