New Belgium Paardebloem (Lips Of Faith Series)
Yet another Lips Of Faith beer from New Belgium, this time a collaboration with Red Rock Brewery. Paardebloem is a Belgian Strong Pale Ale brewed with peaches, grains of paradise and dandelion greens then aged on oak. Not a big fan of peaches in beers, but the peaches are very subtle in this which is working in it’s favor for me. The major taste profile is of some generic spices and Belgian yeast character, and a bit of an earthy flavor that I will assume is from the dandelion greens. The oak aging is a bit lost on me, not getting much of that at all. This is all working together a lot better than I thought it would, a very enjoyable beer.
