Fort George Cavatica Stout

Fort George Cavatica Stout is an American Double/Imperial Stout available year round. The smell of this beer is outstanding but not what I would expect from a stout, lots of sticky sticky dark fruits in the aroma. Those same dark fruits lead off the taste before heading into a big dry roast. There is a sugary sweetness that sits in the background adding some depth to the beer. This really took some time to grow on me. I have had many better stouts, but this there is a uniqueness to this one that I really like a lot.
