Two Roads Worker’s Comp Saison
I was happy to find a pair of Two Roads Brewing Co beers thrown in as extras with a recent New Jersey beer trade. Based in Stratford, CT, the relatively new brewery produces a wide variety of styles and have been reviewed favorably by readers of BeerAdovcate. It appears the brewery itself is quite a destination with great write-ups on TripAdvisor.
As for Worker’s Comp, I found the saison’s overall taste takeaway to be peppery and dry with a great refreshing element. The nose brought a distinct banana aroma, however none of that came through on the palate. The bright and bubbly carbonation gave way to a twinge of welcome yeast funk.
Always a bonus with me, Worker’s Comp has a great label design and is a solid saison, especially if you prefer a bit of black pepper in your farmhouse ale.
