Terrapin / Green Flash Tangerine Dreamsicle

Terrapin and Green Flash recently got together to create Tangerine Dreamsicle, an American IPA brewed with spices in an attempt to create a beer that tastes like a Dreamsicle Ice Pop. Why wouldn’t I want to try that?

I have to say I was immediately surprised by how much of the spices come through. At first they don’t seem to create the end goal, but before long the flavor I was looking for comes out. Bright and slightly tangy orange citrus is in fact followed by a creamy vanilla note much like the summertime treat. Clearly this concoction came from a “west coast” ice cream truck. The Green Flash influence comes out in the finish with a strong showing of hops, keeping this one feeling like an IPA.

Kudos all around. This was a fun beer to drink!
