Mikkeller / Amager Hr. Frederiksens Væsel Brunch

Hr. Frederiksens Væsel Brunch is a blend of Mikkeler and Amager’s Imperial Oatmeal Coffee Stouts, which is then is stored cold for an additional year after maturing.

The smell of this is simply amazing: Caramel, mild coffee and dark roasted malts, chocolate, and licorice. The flavor profile matches the taste very well with big roasted/bitter malts and sweet black licorice dominating the flavor. The coffee and chocolate are dancing around in the background.

Very enjoyable but also very expensive. I’m glad I treated myself to a bottle of this, but there is no way I could afford to make it a regular purchase.
