Orpheus Sasion Calliope
Apart from a small sample of their Peace War Truth Lies session IPA, Sasion Calliope is the first Orpheus beer I’ve had a chance to try. It comes from their rotating Saison Series.
A very light yellow/golden pour, surprisingly light. The taste is really pleasant, slightly tart and a little funky. Some great fruit and citrus notes are evident as well. I’m getting a strong dose of lemon as well as a little melon as well. Just a dash of black pepper finishes out the flavors I’m tasting. I’m a bit stunned that this is 6.4% ABV, it’s very light and drinkable.
Orpheus Saison Calliope was a great first drinking experience, looking forward to trying more from them in the future!
