Apocalypse Ale Works Sixth Seal Stout
Apocalypse Ale Works Sixth Seal Stout was another find from our trip to Virginia this Fall. Took a stab in the dark with an unknown stout, but I always like to try as much local beer as I can when I travel.
The pour was fine, although I’m not a huge fan of the tall, thin highball style glasses Capital Ale House chooses to use. The taste of this beer is really pleasant. I’m getting a lot of sweet milk chocolate, some mild roast and sweet cream. The beer feels really slick, but has a slightly thinnish body. Solid stout.
Rolling the dice really paid off this time. I enjoyed this a lot, and if there wasn’t an extensive list to choose from I would have probably had another one!
