Aardwolf White Russian
Aardwolf White Russian is an Imperial Milk Stout. My friend Brian handed me a couple of Aardwolf growlers when passing through Savannah recently, I do appreciate his thinking of me!
This pours dark and thick with a huge fluffy tan head. The smell is sweet and mildly roasty, very inviting. I see why they named this White Russian, getting lots of sweet cream like flavor with only a mild amount of roast and lacto. Sweet, sweet and more sweet, this this is one fantastic stout! The 9% ABV starts out barely noticeable in the taste, but does creep in there as it warms up.
The Green Lion Pale Ale I also got to try was solid, but this stout is exceptional. Going to miss this when the growler is gone. Looks like it is time for a day trip to Jacksonville!
