Bell’s Java Stout

Bell’s Java Stout is an American Double/Imperial Stout that uses a custom blend of coffee beans roasted by Water Street Coffee Joint. 7.5% ABV. Available October through January, with a 12 month shelf life. This bottle is about 4 1/2 months old.

This pours with a nice black color and a pretty tan head. Getting mostly big strong black coffee on the nose. Roasted malts and coffee dominate this taste of this stout, with a nice amount of acidic coffee and good hop bite on the finish. This has a moderately rich and creamy mouth-feel that ends on a sweet Milk/Sweet Stout like note.

Not the most intense Coffee Stout on the market, but everything blends together just perfectly in this beer. Highly recommended.
