Bell’s Special Double Cream Stout
Bell’s Special Double Cream Stout is brewed with ten different specialty malts, 6.1% ABV.
This pours with a very dark brown color with hints of brown shinning through the center of the glass when held to the light. Massive tan head on this stout as well. The aroma isn’t huge, but it has a complex malt mix with a touch of sweetness, very similar to a good Milk Stout. This beer gets it’s name from it’s smooth and creamy mouth-feel, and it is just that. Velvety and silky, this is one great feeling beer. The taste utilizes all of those malts to create a rich and full flavored stout. Although there is no dairy or lacto is involved there is a bit of Milk Stout sweetness to the taste as well.
This beer accomplishes the feat of making a full flavored beer that is also very drinkable, an easy six pack grab during the colder months.
