Burnt Hickory Mudhoney
Burnt Hickory Mudhoney is an American Brown Ale brewed with honey. I assume it’s named after one of the most underrated Seattle “grunge” bands Mudhoney.
This poured a bit odd, almost a bit over carbonated. The color is good; classic brown ale color, almost a hazelnut, with an over active head. Fantastic aroma, I’m getting a lot of nuttiness, honey and brown sugar on the nose. The taste is very similar, but some how does not line up with the aroma. I am getting an off flavor in this one, maybe coming back to it being a bit over carbonated.
Not my favorite style, but this is a solid Brown Ale. I’d like to try this again, there might have been some issues with this batch or bottle.
