Rapp Brewing Broyhan
Rapp Brewing Broyhan is a Berliner Weissbier. Rapp has won award after award for their outstanding Gose, so I had no hesitation on ordering a full pour of Broyhan when I stopped into the taproom.
The pour was a bit too much, not room for any head, but the color was a nice cloudy lemon yellow. Mild sourness on the aroma of this Berliner, nothing over the top but that mild bit of funkiness lets you know what you are about to get into. A quick burst of tartness to start which is followed by a light fruitiness that reminds me a good bit of apples.
Not too different from the Gose really, but that isn’t all that bad of a thing! Rapp Gose – saltiness + a hint of apple = Broyhan. Seriously though, this is good!
