It is very difficult to describe the color of this, I’ve never seen a grayish yellow before. The head is gone within seconds. The aroma has a faint lactic sourness followed by some sweet grain and a hint of generic fruitiness. The flavor is rather pleasant on this and is making up for the lackluster appearance and aroma. The first sip is exceptionally sour but, that mellows out very quickly as my tastebuds adjust to the sour ale. A good blast of tart starts the taste, some grainy cracker comes in to play, then again some mild sourness towards the finish along with some Gose like saltiness.
Not a bad intro to the sour ale style, but still flavorful enough to be a good session choice for the more trained palate.
