Southbound Loving Cup

Southbound Loving Cup is a Saison/Farmhouse Ale brewed with Brettanomyces. 5.8% ABV.

This pours with a nice, slightly cloudy, lemon yellow color with some faint orange hues. I’m not getting much in the way of Brett on the nose, but this does have a pleasant fruity aroma. I’m smelling peaches, muted lemon and a bit of sweet melon. The taste is very similar to the nose, very fruity and a bit sweet but it aslo has a nice dry finish. Getting the same melon, lemon and peaches in the taste with a mild hint of yeast funkiness.

I’m not sure if the Brett will develop over time or not, but in all honesty I’m glad I went ahead and opened this. This is quite tasty just the way it is right now.
