Bell’s Hell Hath No Fury Ale
Bell’s Hell Hath No Fury Ale is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale, 7.5% ABV. A beer that apparently started out as a Belgian style Dubbel that morphed into it’s own thing.
This pours exceptionally dark with just a bit of red coming through, good head to start without much retention. The aroma brings slightly roasted malt, a hint of coffee and chocolate, raisins and some mild clove. The taste is a plethora of flavors all at once: molasses, dark roasted malts, dark fruits (a lot of cherry) and hints of smoked chocolate. This beer is smooth if not a touch thin in the mouth-feel. This is rich, sweet and very enjoyable.
It has been several years since I’ve had this but I feel like I am enjoying this a bit more than I did the first time around, I think I might grab a few more bottles to have around this winter.
