Karbach Brewing Co. Rodeo Clown
Karbach Brewing Co. Rodeo Clown is an American Double/Imperial IPA, 9.5% ABV. Big thanks to Lee for sharing this gift from Texas.
The beer pours with a somewhat cloudy deep caramel color that has some reddish tones to it. On the aroma is a nice balance of sweeter caramel malt and some lighter citrus/pine hop character. I am really enjoying the taste on this one. All the caramel malt from the aroma comes through and is complimented by a good dose of tropical pineapple. The finish brings some aggressive pine hop bitterness… well sometimes. This is one of those beers that fluctuates a bit from sip to sip.
The first beer I have ever seen from Karbach, and so far so good. This DIPA is solid and enjoyable overall.
