Ska Buster Nut Brown Ale

Ska Buster Nut Brown Ale is an English-style Brown Ale, 5.3% ABV. Can provided for review.

The appearance is brown and clear with a nice off white head on top of the pour. The aroma brings a good bit of lightly roasted malt and a touch of sweet nuts. The flavor profile is easy and unoffensive, but lacking in a ton of complexity. Similar to the nose there is a good bit of mildly roasted malt on the palate that is complimented by a mild sweet nuttiness. A hint of mild English-style bitterness on the finish adds just the right amount of balance to this beer.

Given the obsession with extremes in craft beer these days I could see how people might not “like” this, but all in all this is a pretty solid English-style Brown ale. I could live without the juvenile name though.
