This is a pretty looking beer, a nice clear golden orange color with a slightly off white head with excellent retention. The aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of orange and peach in the forefront, a little biscuit malt is on the nose as well. The taste takes a big citrus swing revealing a tremendous amount of grapefruit peel and flesh. Bitter but sweet on the palate with additional notes of some pine, mango, nectarine, lime and a drier cracker type malt taste. Really good carbonation is the finishing touch on this IPA.
This is a refreshing IPA, both in taste, and in it’s originality. I don’t think I would want to drink this all the time, but there are some interesting things going on with the way the flavors work together.
