Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Flare
Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Flare is a Gose brewed with orange and coriander, 5.4% ABV. It looks like this was bottled on the 285th day of 2015.
This pours with a huge active head, had to pause and go back in with a more gentle pour after a minute of two. The beer itself is a pretty golden/yellow color, in true gose fashion the head is gone quickly, but in this case it took minutes instead of seconds. Great aroma on this, nicely tart and salty on the nose, maybe just the faintest bit of orange zest as well. The taste has a good bit of saltiness and mild tartness. The malt bill is coming through on the palate, some grain and general malt sweetness. I feel like a little orange is coming out with the malt as well.
An enjoyable beer, but as is normally the case, I’d bet this was even better a little fresher.
