Coppertail Brewing White Wine Cherry Frank
Coppertail Brewing White Wine Cherry Frank is a Berliner Weissbier with cherries aged in Chardonnay barrels, 3.5% ABV. After a few attempts I finally got a chance to swing by this brewery on a visit to Florida, I dug right into sampling some beers you can’t get easily at the store!
The beer pours with fairly bright red/pink color and a nice off white head. The aroma is pretty much straight up Sweetart candy, and is fantastic. The taste is only slightly tart, which as far as I’m concerned is just how a good Berliner should be. More complexity than you sometimes get with the style on the palate. Notes of mild cherry, oak and white wine grapes find there way into the taste along with a hint of grain and wheat.
Really nice beer overall, one of the best beers we tried while at the brewery that day.
