Union Craft Brewing Duckpin

Union Craft Brewing Duckpin is an American Pale Ale, 5.5% ABV, canned on 12/07/16, opened on 01/18/17.

The beer pours with a nearly perfect clear golden color, and a fluffy off white head with excellent retention. Although the aroma isn’t huge, it does have a pleasant amount of citrus, sweet malt and spicy hops. A tasty combination of caramel malt, mild citrus and earthy hops dominate the majority of the flavor profile. The finish is rather dry and is complimented by some seriously earthy pine hops. I like the fact that this is only moderately bitter, a lot of APA’s have been creeping into IPA bitterness territory as of late.

I first tried this in a larger group and it seemed I was the one who liked it the best, but as far as I’m concerned this is a tasty Pale Ale that is worth a try!
